Drill of the Week: Apartment Fire Attack
By Forest Reeder
This week's drill challenges the fire attack team to select the correct type and length of attack line to go to work on an apartment building fire. Several alternatives exist for this operation, and it's up to your team's training, experience, and SOGs to select the correct method of hose advancement and attack. Use this tabletop problem to discuss apparatus positioning, initial attack operations, and line placement/movement techniques for an aggressive fire incident.
